After breakfast, at 08.30 AM you will be picked up from your hotel by our guide to embark on a cul-tural sightseeing. Drive towards Tampaksiring Gunung to visit Kawi Royal Monument, one of Bali’s oldest and largest ancient monuments situated at the bottom of a lush green river valley in Tampak Siring. Consisting of 10 rock-cut candi (shrines) – memorials cut out of the rock face in imitation of actual statues, they stand in awe-inspiring 8m-high sheltered niches cut into the sheer cliff face.

Continue your journey to Kintamani to enjoy dra-matic views of the active volcano Mount Batur and serene Lake Batur sitting on the rim of the huge Ba-tur caldera about 1,500m above sea level. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant facing the breathtaking views of Batur Caldera.

Then drive descending Penelokan hill towards Ubud, a short stop in Tegalalang so you can see the stunning terraces of rice paddies located on the hill. In Ubud, you will visit Kemenuh village, which hosts a large number of woodcarvers among its population, take a closer look at the amazing tal-ents of local wood carvers. Be dazzled by the at-tention to detail and the amount of patience they put into their art pieces. Last but not least, indulge yourself and stroll around at the Ubud market.

Drive with this unique vehicle towards Tabanan regency, to visit an important temple dat-ing back to 11th century, Pura Luhur Batukaru. It’s considered as one of the six directional temples on Bali that are believed to protect the island and its people from evil spirits.

We will then visit Jatiluwih, famed for the stunning terraces of rice paddies nestled in the shadow of Mount Batukaru. Having adopted a traditional “Subak” irrigation system, a method that has been preserved for centuries and passed down from generation to generation since the 9th century; the Jatiluwih rice fields have been named a UNESCO Cultural Landscape. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant while enjoying the beauty of the Jtiluwih rice terraces.

Stop can be made at Candikuning market before continuing your next visit to Ulun Danu Temple, situ-ated in the plateau area at lakeside of Beratan. The name of Beratan Lake is inseparable with the Beratan Mount as Deity and Goddess of fertility and prosperity. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel.

Preferred: Maya Ubud

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, in the mid-morning depart with your guide towards Nusa Dua in the South of Bali, passing through the western shore of Bali. Along the way, stops will be made to visit Taman Ayun Temple, Which is the mother tem-ple of Mengwi Kingdom. “Taman” means Garden, and “Ayun or Ayu” means beautiful. So Taman Ayun means a holy place that is surrounded by beauti-ful water garden.

Proceed to Tanah Lot Temple, one of the most popular and photographed temple on the island. Tanah Lot stands for earth (Tanah) and sea (Lot), due to its spectacular setting on top of an impres-sive rock overlooking the Indian Ocean. The temple was built in the 15th Century and dedicated to the god of the sea and is one of the most important temples in Bali. Walk around and learn a little bit about its role in Balinese Hinduism.
